Episode 10: Throwing a Grenade Into the Subconscious Lake of the Mind: 5-MeO-DMT with Victoria Wueschner

Welcome to Integrating Psychedelics, featuring insights gleaned from psychedelic experiences and conversations around how to integrate this wisdom into our daily lives. I'm your host, Jenny Weinar, and in today's episode I'm speaking with Victoria Wueschner.

Victoria is a medicine woman, integration specialist and retreat leader at Tandava. She is also the director of education for psychedelic wellness company Kaivalya Kollectiv where she founded the education platform F.I.V.E (5-MeO-DMT Information and Vital Education). Her mission at F.I.V.E is to provide the world with a centralized hub for all resources and education on 5-MeO-DMT, in hopes of bringing awareness to the ethics, integrity, and safety of 5-MeO-DMT. Victoria currently lives in Mexico and spends her time supporting individuals on their healing journeys.

In this conversation we discuss::

  • How Victoria's early life experiences precipitated her dark night of the soul and eventual healing journey (note: Victoria's story includes experiences of sexual assault, which she mentions briefly)

  • Victoria's encounter with something bigger than herself in her first psychedelic experience

  • Experiencing love and worthiness for the first time with 5-MeO-DMT

  • Distinguishing 5-MeO-DMT from DMT (N,N-DMT) - these are very different medicines!

  • Natural and synthetic sources of 5-MeO and why Victoria prefers the synthetic molecule

  • A little about the role of 5-MeO in my own psychospiritual growth

  • Why preparation, navigation and integration are especially and vitally important with 5-MeO and how Victoria approaches these

  • Medicine as a tool for remembering what we already know

  • Reactivations of 5-MeO-DMT after the journey

  • Victoria's three components of integration

  • …and more!
